38 week appt

i had my appt this morning and everything looks great :) im 38 weeks but measuring 39 weeks which my midwife said was fine for now. i mentioned the swelling in my hands and the joint pain and she said that was normal - drink more fluids... soak my hands in cold water if that helps, blah blah blah - same old same old. she said the joint pain is carpal tunnel. its not BAD pain, but things like grabbing the steering wheel make them hurt, or holding a pencil even sometimes. joy. but she said that a couple weeks after the baby is born i'll start peeing like crazy and get rid of all the extra fluid, and when the swelling goes down, my hands wont hurt any more :)

the heartbeat was nice and strong (and fast!) - she said around 160 today. he was pretty active in the waiting room, so i think he was in the middle of his workout when we checked him LOL my pulse on the other hand was 126! holy smokes! she said thats normal as well. in fact, everything i mentioned she sad was normal... so im normal! yay! :) my BP was 106/67 - the lowest its been this pregnancy - which she said was great! no worries about pre-e (with the swelling and such) so thats really good.

i have my appts for the next two weeks... though hopefully i wont need them! no contractions though, no spotting, no mucous plug, no nothing. im ready to get a move on it though! ive been walking like crazy - trying to ignore the pain in my crotch/pelvis (which again, is normal). walking, no matter hw uncomfortable, really makes it feel like im moving along. when im done walking it feels like the little man is around my knees! LOL

anyway - there ya go. my update! OH! and court went well yesterday... i was out by 10:30a, so thats good. i gave my testimony for about 20-30 mins and was cross examined and re-crossed about 3 times! i guess they both wanted to make sure they understood me completely. good times. so i can call next weke to see when the actual trial date is set for. caleb will get to go to court! :)
