officially GD free!

woo hoo!! my midwife called this morning to give me the official results from my GTT on friday (the one where i felt like i was gonna die)... and she said all 4 blood draws look good - no elevated numbers so we dont have to follow up with anything else!!! :) YAY!!!!!

she said i should still watch my sugar intake and try to follow the modified diet through delivery, but all in all i don't need to do anything special and she'll see me at my next appt! :) im so excited! i can officially have fruit now!! even just a little bit :)

im not going to go overboard on the sugars... thats just not good anyway. but now i know i can have some OJ and grapes if i want them. *happy dance*

also - i had my first mini-shower last night with the small group of women that i played bunco with. they are all SO excited for me and this little bambino :) my mom plays with them still so they were all doting on the soon-to-be grandma as well. :) all of the ladies there are older than my mom and more great-aunt/grandma like... so they spoiled me (and caleb!) rotten! he got tons of clothes... and i mean TONS with sizes from newborn to 24 months - they know the practicality of having the larger sizes LOL and then he also got a silver spoon/fork set with little silver boxes that say "first curl" and "first tooth" which i was told "arent practicaly, but they're a grandma gift that you have to have" LOL :)

i'll have to see if i can post a picture. but anyway - it was a fun practice run for my big shower. i dont really love being the ultimate center of attention, so it was nice to be able to share the night with my mom - OH! it was her birthday as well (forgot to mention that!) so she was all in the spotlight too. :)

just wanted to update everyone on the GD stuff and all that... only about 45 more days till my last day of work! :) and yes, ive decided that im going out on the 25th. i'll be about 37 weeks... and more than done with work!
