almost 33 weeks and PG brain...
okay - tomorrow i am 33 weeks! woo hoo!! one of the other pregnant ladies at work (there are about 329409328 of us, it seems like. seriously, i start it all off in june and we have at least 4 that i can think of off the top of myhead due in aug/sept/oct/nov ish) anyway - one of the other preggo ladies there told me that i only need to count down to 36 weeks... after that i can start saying "any day now!" LOL she has a litle boy who is, i think 4 years old. this will be boy #2 for her. :) so only 3 more weeks till "any day now!" :)
im feeling pretty good today! which is kinda cool. i went walking with my parents and grandmother down at the bay... mom and dad did over 2 miles, grandma and i did about 1.25 miles. keep in mind im hugely pregnant and grandma had her hip replaced a month ago... not too shabby for two slow movers!
i also got some frozen yogurt yesterday *drool* i havent had that in YEARS... so we went and got some. i got non-fat chocolate malt flavored frozen yogurt with granola. i TOTALLY fooled myself into thinking it was "healthy"... to be fair, my rationale was that it was better than a pint of ben and jerrys. so its true. in a way. :D
okay, now on to a topic that bothers me, as someone who has had a m/c. i see on these fertility boards and stuff how when women get their BFPs - they are very quick to offer up their fertility aids. you know what i mean? they get their BFP on monday and by friday they've sold off or given away their monitor, all their unsed OPKs, their HPTs... just... everything. i see it all the time and i cringe each and every time. i look at the tickers and think "4 weeks??? oooooooh honey...." i dont want to be a downer or anything like that, trust me! i think its a blessing and a miracle to GET that BFP. but sometimes i just want to grab their hands and say "wait. please wait." there are so many things that can happen... ive been there. my loss was at almost 7 weeks. i cant imagine if i had given away or sold everything that i used (and spent twice as much on) to get pregnant... and now i had to go buy it all again? on top of the pain i was feeling?
ugh. anyway... that just bothers me. i know everyone wants to think positive - and that is really the best thing. its just *shrug* i dont know. as someone who has had that kind of loss, i just dont want to see them go through anything like that. i had a bag of almost 100 OPKs that i hadnt used - and i kept every last one till i was around 16 weeks, when i finally let go of about 20 to my cousin. i gave another 10 to a lady at work... and i still have the rest. to be fair - i have them promised to a friend for when she starts trying later this year and she can have them whenever she wants LOL im just saying... 4 weeks? so so SO many things can happen. :(
*whew* okay on to the whole "pregnancy brain" thing. so in my first childbirth class we were given a book for the class with virtually everything we needed to know in it. we wrote down the dates of all the classes and where they would be held (we have to change locations a few times) as well as the instuctors phone numbers and all that. i went to TWO classes, and by the third it was lost. my class is tomorrow... and i have no idea where it is. okay check this out - it has been in the car and in the class. we didnt leave it in the class (i asked last week) so it'd have to be in the car right? wrong. no flippin idea where it is *sigh*
i forget everything. and not just things like books and stuff... i mean, everything. i'll be mid-sentence and completely lose my train of thought. i was arguing (*ahem* discussing) with my manager last week and about 2 minutes into it i couldnt remember my point. ive gone out three times this weekend to buy stamps... and never got any. i STILL need those stamps!
ARGH.
please tell me this gets better?!?!? :) hahah
all righty - theres my rambly post of the week. 33 weeks - here i come!!

I can totally agree with you about the ones who give all their stuff away at 4 weeks. I see it quite a bit. I also m/c at 7 weeks and am thankful the only thing I gave away were coupons for OPK's and HPT's and Im kicking myself for that and those are no big deal!! Anyways, just wanted to tell you that your not alone in your opinion. I 100% agree with you!
I understand what you are saying too about the people giving everything away. I've never m/c before but my cousin did at 11 weeks and she said that before that she had always been oblivious thinking that of course all would be well and then her pregnancy after, she worried every time she went to the doctor and wouldn't relax until she had heard the heart beat.
Ummm...I hate to burst your bubble, but the brain freeze is NOT temporary!! :) Just wait til AFTER lil Caleb gets here...it'll be even worse! You'll be in total baby mode 24/7, but then add complete lack of sleep and it's all over!! Sorry!! But on the bright side...you'll be just like the rest of us! lol
Wow...you're getting so close!
You are getting so close!!!!
I understand what you mean about people giving stuff away... I keep telling myself once I finally get pregnant, I have to be very careful to not do anything like that!!!
Amy, What a great post. I am 1005 with you...you never know when you might need those things again & for some of us it is VERY soon. I am so happy for you...so close now..yeah.
