2008 - year in review...

first... a look back:

2005: this morning when i checked my email i literally squealed with delight! the "bank" has received my registration papers and im ready to go!! of course, i cant call to order anything for a week or so... and that's going to kill me!

2006: now its time for me to imagine where i might be NEXT year. good lord!! i know i wont be babysitting, thats for sure :) but other than that... who knows?? i'll have a 6 month old, how insane is that?!? i'll already be "old hat" at the whole "mommy" business :) and hopefully offering up some "new mom" advice to all the other new moms out there who are maybe still in the TTC game. :)

2007: so where do i see myself next year at this time?? i'll have an 18 month old who im sure will be walking around and tearing into everyhting he can get his little monkey hands on :) i'll most likely still be living here with my parents (but maybe with plans to move??) and reflecting on 2008 with as many fond memories and new BFPs to celebrate :)

wow! its so cool to see it all laid out like that. amazing! so 2008? whats been going on? well my baby turned one! he learned to crawl, stand, walk and talk (a little) - he weaned from the bottle and pacifiers. he went down to one nap. he started daycare and i went back to work... we took two vacations!! one to hawaii and one to PA and OH... both of which were very special in their own ways :) he got to meet both jen and tricia - my two very special friends who knew about him long before he was even a sparkle in my eye. :)

we got (i think) 7 new family members and friends... so 7 new kids to pass hand-me-downs to! LOL of the 7, 6 were boys! boys rock :) and one new cousin coming june of 2009... dont know if its a boy or girl yet (im guessing girl).

im still living with my parens with no immediate plans to move. there is a very good chance that my company will strike in a few months and i cant risk having rent or a mortgage if i'm going to be without a paycheck for any length of time. not that i could really afford it anyway... ugh! besides - caleb LOVES it here and grandma and grandpa would be heartbroken if i took "their baby" more than down the hall from them :) which works out great for everyone, for now. :)

so 2009? where do i hope to be 12/31/09? hrm. well i'll have a two and a half year old. that right there means i'll most likely be bald! LOL he'll probably be chattering my ear off non-stop (if he's anything like his mom!). i pray that i'll still have my job and be further out of debt. my brother will be married - so i hope that everything surrounding the wedding goes well! maybe NOW with plans to get our own place? perhaps? so we'll see... :)

well how sad is this - i'd not even 10p and im already heading to bed. because caleb doesnt undersand that its new years and he doesnt care that the rest of the planet will be sleeping in tomorrow... he'll be up at his usual time. which means i'll be up at his usual time. LOL and its freezing anyway (yes, im a CA wimp) and my bed is super warm and squishy. :)

i hope that 2008 ends well for everyone, and that 2009 brings happiness, new babies and lots of great memories to all of my friends who are reading this :) *HUGS*
