one more day!

WHOA!! look at how much he's grown! :) the top picture is his first big boy bath at i think 3w1d and the bottom is his bath last night at 8w2d. he's HUGE! :) he almost doesnt fit in his bath any more! LOL and he's discovered that if he flails his hands it makes mommy squeek and laugh. he SOAKED the counter last night slapping and kicking the water as i danced around laughing, trying to keep myself dry :) the more i freaked the more excited he got the more water got on the counter.

i think its safe to say that its a good thing the toaster wasnt plugged in! i need to find a new location for his bath...

mom and dad get home tomorrow night! :) they are having a wonderful time and plan to do a lot of shopping today. okay - mom, grandma and katie will be doing shopping today. dad and jason will be pack mules. LOL

i went to the doctors yesterday - i had some severe abdominal pain wednesday night, come to find out i have gall stones. apparently its fairly common after pregnancy (i wish someone had told me what to look for!) and can be very painful. yeah, no shit! it was so bad the other night that had my parents been home, i would have gone to the ER. as it was, i didnt want to load caleb up n the car at 2am to hang out in the ER with me... where undoubtedly i'd be here for hours and not really able to watch him. and i didnt want to wake my neighbors to come watch him. which is silly - thats what they are there for (and they told me i had better call next time!) but at 2am i wasnt thinking about that. anyway - it looks like i might have to have my gallbladder removed, but not right now. joy.

and yesterday was the first day i left caleb with anone other than my dad. he stayed with my cousin while i went to the doctors. i cried when i left him... :) keep in mind she has 3 kids of her own - 3 GREAT kids who have turned out perfect! if theres anyone i trust him with completely - its her. and i still cried LOL then when i called to tell her my appt was over - she said 'go home and take a nap. im taking the kids to target. come get him around 5." it was just after 2. she was having a BLAST with him :) so i got a little rest and she got to see what it would be like to have 4 kids. i think she'll stick to babysitting. :)

this week he's definitely hit a growth spurt... i can tell he's grown in length just in the past week! which is good... maybe he'll start sleeping at night again :)
