he's perfect!
heres how i know my little boy is perfect - even when he isnt :)
last night we had a really REALLY rough night. for whatever reason, he went to bed at 9:30 like he usually does... then he woke up at 12:30 - a little early for him, but thats okay :) he was up for about 30 mins eatting, then he went to sleep. and was up again at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30. the last time he was up till almost 5. he wasnt hungry or anything, he was just UP. and just when i'd start to get comfortable and head off to dreamland, he'd wake up. so i was up from 12:30 to 5:00. i was unhappy this morning, i cried quite a bit... i begged and pleaded with him and completely resented my parents because they got to go to work.
and then all day he's been an angel. :) he slept well, ate well, he sat in his bouncy for 45 mins! yes!!! 45 mins!!! he dozed off for the last about 10 mins... and he was watching some TV and staring out the front door and watching the dog pace by the screen door, so he wasnt totally bored.
THEN. he ate and napped again (and i caught about a 40 min nap!) and then we hng out on the couch and chatted for a bit... and then i put him in the swing so i could go pump for 10 mins, and when i came out he was in there all content and wide awake :) so im leaving him be! i folded and put away my laundry, i talked to my mom on the phone (to make dinner plans) and now im updating! :) he's been in there almost 30 mins now and he's just wide awake watching the fan.
see? he's perfect! he knows when his mommy needs a break :) i just hope he knows that we're not having a repeat of last night. mommy wont be happy at all if we do! :)
he's a month old *sigh* where oh where has the time gone? :) i think i'll be saying that a lot over the next few months. he's growing so much - i KNOW he's over 10 lbs now. his next appt is on 8/27, and i cant wait to see how big he's gotten. at birth he was in the 95 percentile! if that follows, he could be 12-13 lbs at 2 months. dun dun dun dun!! :)

Just when you think you can't take it anymore, it gets a bit better. Hang in there and soon he'll be sleeping through the night every night.
Your nights will get easier. Then you will be thinking about the nights he used to wake you up! Hang in there. Your a great mommy and he knows it.
I hope you get to sleep more soon! Hang in there!!
