more firsts :)

well earlier this week we had caleb's first earthquake! that was fun... though i doubt he noticed. i had just dropped him off at daycare and they were headed outside. i was at the drive-thru waiting on my chicken quesadila and the car shook likea semi drove by, only it didnt. so i thought, "hrm, that was weird." and i didnt htink anything of it till i got to work and 43098 people asked if id felt the earthquake! :) so apparently, that was it. going by the time on my receipt and the time of the quake.

so there. calebs first earthquake - he was 13 months old! :)

also... i got a call yesterday (i think) to schedule caleb's eye surgery :( he has a clogged tear duct, so i know its not a bIG surgery - no stitches, no incisions - but still. they have to put him under and that kinda freaks me out. okay that REALLY freaks me out. :( it'll be on 8/20 with 2 pre-op appts before. im all anxious just thinking about it. UGH.

he's also started (kinda) talking this week! he's been "talking" for months now - random sounds (usually, "da da da da da da da") and stuff. but on monday we were in the bathroom and he pointed to the tub and said, "bap." just like he knew what he was talking about!! then we went outside and he pointed at the table and kept saying, "ba. bo. ba. bo. ba. bo." he wanted the bubbles!! of cours,e he said it like two words. "ba.................... bo." but it counts!! and when i blew bubbles he gave me this look like, "finally!! you understand!!" LOL then he wanted up on my parents bed and he said, "ep! ep!" and when my mom told him, "no, you dont need up on grandmas bed." he looked at her... frowned... then said, "es."

i guess he told her!
